If this icon is displayed at the top-left of a chart cell, it means that a filter has been applied to the chart.

Alert Notification

If an orange warning triangle  is shown at the top left of a cell,

click the alert button to view what the alert relates to.

The Notification button has three tabs.

Notifications

The first tab, Notifications, will show details about drill paths, parent charts, filters and any warnings such as labels not being displayed correctly.

The orange triangle is a warning to show that, on this chart, Labels are hidden. This means that some charts do not have enough room to display the Labels as the text would overlap. Making the charts larger (for example viewing in full screen mode) will often enable all the Labels to show, in which case this notification would no longer be displayed. 

Chart Info tab – This tabThe information can be seen on the ‘Notifications’ tab.

Parent Chart

This icon at the top-left of a chart cell indicates that the selected chart is a ‘Parent Chart’.

Chart Info

The Chart Info tab, that can be seen when you click any of the icons mentioned above, provides more information about the chart such as the data source/ category that the chart belongs to, any help text entered and the URL to embed this chart into your other applications.

The Chart Info tab will also provide you with additional information when you drill into a chart such as which drill level the chart is on and which part of the chart was used to drill down. In the following example, we can see that a user drilled down on the 31-40 Age Group.

The ‘Chart Information’ section will provide information on:

  • Chart Name - the name that the chart was saved to the Library with. This name may differ from the name used for the chart in the Dashboard

  • Data Source - the data source that was used to create the chart

  • Category - the Category that the chart belongs to. Charts can be built on any Category in the Dashboard and if users don’t have access to that Category they will be unable to see the chart even if it was added to a Category that they do have access to

  • Remaining Cache Time - remaining amount of time to cache the data
