1. Combined Chart +

This example builds on the currently available Combined Chart. With Combined Charts, the only chart types you can select from are Line, Bar and Area. Now, with the introduction of Merged charts, users can also select from Spline and Stacked Bar chart types.

In the following example, we’ve used a Spline and Stacked Bar chart. This chart is used to compare the number of sales for the stores in a particular region against the sales for the entire company.

The Y Axis appears at both sides of the merged chart to indicate the different axis on the 2 individual charts however, to make it easier to understand the data the name of the individual chart that the data on the axis is taken from is also displayed along with the axis title.

In the following screenshot, we can see that the data on the left Y axis comes from the chart ‘Sales by Month and Region’ and the name of the axis on that chart is ‘Number of Sales’.

To make the axis names even easier to read ensure that the underlying charts are named correctly.
