Category Page Filters

Category Page Filters are used to filter every chart in a category at the same time, you may also hear them referred to as Category Objects.

When you load a category that has a page filter you may see a notification like the one shown in the screenshot below at the top right of the dashboard as the category loads.

There will also be a filter icon, at the top right of the dashboard. If this icon also has a tick beside it, like the one shown in the following screenshot, it means that there are some page filters that are set as default on the selected category.

To view the default page filters, and also see what other page filters are available, click the filter icon. A panel will slide in from the right-hand side. In the following example, we can see that we have a default filter for the Store Name. Every time this category loads it will default to show information for the Liverpool store.

To hide the page filter list, click the filter icon again at the top of the dashboard.

If you prefer, you can pin the page filter section in place so it’s always visible by clicking the pin icon.

To hide the page filter options again, click the pin icon and then click the filter icon at the top of the dashboard.

To apply a page filter, select the value that you want to filter an object on and click the ‘Apply’ button. There are a number of different types of filter options such as drop lists, date range and multi-picker and therefore depending on the type of filter you may be able to select multiple values - for more information on the different filter options and how they work please refer to Category Objects.

If you’ve applied filters and want to revert to the default view of the category, click the ‘Reset to the default view of the category’ button at the top right of the dashboard.
