Within the data screen, the Data Sources that you have been given access to will be displayed on the left-hand side of the screen. This means that you can pick objects (data) from any of these Data Sources.

Firstly, click into the field that you want to add an object to. This will then automatically filter every Data Source to only show the objects that can be placed into that field.

In the following example, the ‘Measure’ field has been selected. This is identified by the blue line on the left of the field and the shaded background.

When a Data Source is expanded, or you search for an object by name, only objects that are Measures will be displayed in the list of available objects.

Click the object in the data source that you want to add to this field.

In the screenshot above, only ‘Measure’ objects are available because a field that can only contain Measures was selected.

Objects are categorised as follows:

Dimensions - qualitative information such as the names of Salespeople or Sales Regions

Measures - aggregated data such as Opportunity Count and Campaign Cost but may also refer to non-numeric data.
