A Chord Diagram (also referred to as a Dependency Wheel) is used to show the flow or connection between several items, referred to as nodes. Each different node is represented by a coloured section around the circumference of the circle and arcs are then drawn between different nodes to show the flow or connection. The thickness of an arc is proportional to the importance of the flow/ connection.

In order to understand the data in Sankey Diagrams, Data Labels should be added. These are not displayed as default so please refer to Formatting a Chord Diagram for details on how to add these.

In the January 2022 release, ‘Show Data Values’ on the Attributes screen will be selected by default.
