Using Custom Variables for Host Names

If your Host Name is longer than 100 characters, add a custom variable in Dashboard Configuration>Settings>Global Variables. In this example, we’ve just used localhost in the Variable Value field.

In Data Connections>Connection, add the variable name in the Host Name field.

This method should allow you to use host names that are longer than 100 characters.
