Export/ Import Reports and Schedules

Similar to exporting and importing Data Connections, the ability to export and import Reports and Schedules is available through the dashboard.

Exporting Reports and Schedules

The instructions for exporting Reports and Schedules are the same, this example shows how to export a Report. If you need to export Schedules, please select the Schedule menu item at the top of the screen.

Open

In the Reports module, click the Reports menu at the top of the screen.

Click Export Reports.

Open

All your Reports will automatically be selected, click the ‘Export’ button at the bottom-right of the screen.

Importing Reports and Schedules

The instructions for importing Reports and Schedules are the same, this example shows how to import a Report. If you need to import Schedules, please select the Schedule menu item at the top of the screen.

In the Reports module, click the Reports menu at the top of the screen.

Click Import Reports.

Browse to the file that you want to import. After selecting the file, all Reports will be selected automatically, deselect any that you do not want to import before clicking the Import button.

If you want to view the dependencies in a Report, click the ‘Show Details’ icon next to the Report name.

When the import process has finished, the imported Reports will be displayed on the left-hand side of the screen and you will be able to use them as normal.

Additional Notes & Consideration

• Exporting and Importing features are only available to Admin users

• Similar to Data Connections, the exported files can only be used by the same version of the dashboard

• Similar to Charts, due to the complexity and the strict internal logic, we don’t have APIs for creating or editing Reports and Schedules. Users can only use the UI to create or edit Reports and Schedules with visual feedback
