Create A Licence

Log into the customer portal via our Website www.panintelligence.com and choose the Login option in the top banner OR visit the Customer Portal page which can be accessed here.

If you don’t have any details for the customer portal, please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager who will organise this for you.

To create a new licence, click on the ‘Edit and Create Licences’ icon next to the relevant end user in your customer list.

You will then be presented with a list of licences that have been created against this user.

To create a new licence, click the + button at the top right of the screen.

Complete the new licence details.

Start date: Date the licence commences. When the licence has been saved, the date will be displayed in the format YYYY-MM-DD. You can pick the date from a calendar by clicking the button to the right of the field.

Expiry date: Date the licence expires. When the licence has been saved, the date will be displayed in the format YYYY-MM-DD. You can pick the date from a calendar by clicking the button to the right of the field. Maximum of 2 years.

If this is not the first licence for this customer the YYYY element of the dates will automatically increment by a year from the prior licence. This is normally correct, but not if the original licence was an evaluation or was created incorrectly.

However if you have used the Duplicate Licence option, please ensure that you update the licence start date, rather than leaving this as it was on the original licence.

Total Combined Users: This is the total amount of users you have in total, excluding Lite Users.

Administrators: The maximum number of admin users that the dashboard will let you create. The dashboard comes with one Admin so as standard, this needs to be set to 1. (Within an XML licence, you may see these listed as Supervisor accounts)

Chart Designers: The maximum number of Designer users that the dashboard will let you create.

Lite Users: The maximum number of Lite Users that the dashboard will let you create.

Grace Days: Number of days the software will continue to operate (with a warning message at logon) after the expiry date. We would expect this to be set to 7 days for an evaluation and 30 days for a normal licence.

External Emails: Set the number of max external emails that can be used for scheduling - this limit applies across the whole dashboard, not for each individual schedule. Please refer to this section in our September 2021 release notes for further information.

General

Allow Multi-Session Logons: If set to TRUE, multiple users can be logged into the dashboard with the same user code. If set to FALSE, a user code will only have one session. If the user code is used a second time, the previous session will be terminated.

Allow Single Item Scheduling: If set to TRUE, scheduling charts will still be permitted even when multi-item reporting is disabled.

Anonymous Charts Allowed: Anonymous Charts Allowed; The maximum number of Anonymous Charts the user can create in the dashboard. Anonymous charts are usually charged individually.

Marketplace: A licence that is used in the AWS build that triggers metering.

Paninsight Use Only: N/A

Paid Modules

piAnalytics: Allows the customer to use analytical chart types (also known as piPredict)

piDecision: Allows the customer to use panDecision.

piReports: Allows the customer to user the scheduler and create reports.

Lite Users

Lite Chart Limit: The Lite Chart Limit is the total amount of charts that can be accessed by each Lite User.

Lite User Categories: In the Lite User Categories, you will need to add a comma-separated list of the category names (Lite 1, Lite 2, etc.) which the Lite User can access

The answer to many of these options, depending on the licencing model, will alter the amount you are invoiced for so it is important to get them correct. When they are correct click the ‘Save’ icon.
