Adding an Object to a Card Chart

In order to add an object to a Card, a text section needs to be added that will contain it.

Click the ‘Add text item’ icon at the top-right of the Card Design section.

You will now be able to click into the text section, where you’ll be able to add text and/or objects.

After choosing the object on the Data screen, it can be added to the Card by typing the name of the object enclosed in double {{}} (curly brackets).

Please ensure that the name of the object is typed exactly as it appears in the Data Source. This also applies to the case e.g. lower case, upper case etc.

Example

In the following example, the object has been entered correctly inside the curly brackets. The figure that the object represents can be seen in the Preview section.

Example

In the following example, the object has been entered incorrectly inside the curly brackets (lowercase c in Count). The Preview section will now only show the incorrect object name.

You can also add objects to cards by selecting the text item that you want the object to appear in and then clicking the Content section on the right-hand side of the screen.

Any objects that were added on the Data tab will appear here, single click to add to the selected text area (curly brackets will be automatically added).
