2. Multiple Aggregation
In this scenario, we’re looking at how an overall total comparison can be compared to the performance of a single item. Following on from Example 1, we’re using the same charts but also bringing in Category Object filters.
To achieve the comparison between the number of sales for one store against the number of sales for the entire company we’ve also set up a Category Object filter for the Store Name and we’re using this to filter the Bar chart but ignoring it on the Spline chart.
By doing this, we can easily change the data on the individual chart whilst the data on the overall chart remains static.
The following screenshot shows the Category Object filter applied to the Bar chart and we can see that the chart has been filtered to show the number of sales for the Glasgow store only.
The following screenshot shows that the chart showing the overall data has been set to ‘Manually apply category filters’ and by doing this it will not be filtered when a Category Object filter is selected.
