3. Merged data from multiple data sources

In this example we’ll cover how to merge data from multiple data sources for example, merging data from Salesforce with data from a different database.

In the following example, we’ve combined data from two different data sources.

When the Merged chart is being built it will check for missing data in the two child charts. For example, one chart shows dates such as 04/01/14 and 05/01/14 whilst the second chart does not contain any data for these dates. When the two charts are combined in the Merged chart, any dates where data doesn’t exist on either of the charts will be displayed by a blank space on the X Axis of the Merged chart. The Merged chart will always use first child chart that was added to work out the starting date point.
